ROOKIE DAY!
July 17th!

Why have my child attend Rookie Day?
Rookie Day provides an opportunity for campers to experience the excitement of a summer at Lokanda, and gives parents a chance to see how Lokanda can help your child be more independent, make new friends and build self-confidence. Most of all, Lokanda's Rookie Camp is a lot of fun! It's a great way to introduce Lokanda to campers and parents while raising the comfort level about going away to camp.

Who can attend?
Rookie Day is for children who are entering 2nd through 5th grade. It is a one-day program where prospective campers get to experience the activities, spirit, excitement and so much of the fun that Lokanda has to offer!

When does it start?
We will pick up your child at Woodbury Commons at 8:45 am, where you will say good-bye to your Rookie as they board a coach bus to camp. You get to shop and relax, they get to have a terrific day at Camp Lokanda.

When do we pick them up?
At 4:30 pm, parents and siblings will join their Rookies at Lokanda for a delicious camp barbeque. If this is your first time at Camp Lokanda, please plan on arriving at 2:15 pm for a camp tour. All families should plan on being able to depart for home at 6:30 pm.

What will they do?
The Rookies will follow a real camp schedule, including lunch and essert in our canteen, lead by our counselors, group leaders, campus leaders and Directors! The Rookies will participate in: Swimming, Outdoor Adventure, Sports, Music, Cooking, Art and Nature.
