Here is your "lion's share" of all the great activities our campers are enjoying...
Yesterday the sun was out and shining all day. Despite their very active weekend of Olympic fun, LCB was excited to be out and about at all of our activity areas and fields. They splashed around in the Mane Pool as well as played fun matches of caged soccer, flag football, and kickball with our CITs! Their action never stops!
Over at our activity center, Art has been a hubbub of activity! Inters and Crescents began tie-dying bags and started planning their ideas for heat pressing logos onto them. Campers have also been busy working with Maddie and Serge on designing scenery and props for our upcoming shows. Subbie Boys have been putting the finishing touches on their Euro team banners.
In Cooking, campers have begun crafting candy sushi creations from scratch, including melting the butter and marshmallows and mixing in the rice crispies to create the perfect base before adding the colorful candy pieces. How pleasing to both the eye and the palate!
On our fields nearby, the Debs practiced passing and receiving and then scrimmaged in flag football. Subbie Girls hit the Go-Cart track and had a blast! Crescents had a 3 v 3 basketball tournament, and they can't wait to continue to the next round.
In addition to Lokanda Central and the Lion's Den being alive with excitement, the lake was synonymous with fun, and many groups went to Waterski, Waterpark, and Boating throughout the day. Middle Camp Girls hit the fields and courts in the morning while Lower Camp Girls had their Sports instruction in the afternoon.
