"The Lokanda Way" is an integral part of Lokanda's tradition. Campers who offer help to their bunkmates, support them, encourage them, assist them when necessary are campers who are practicing "The Lokanda Way". Making new campers feel welcome is another important aspect of this philosophy. It is not at all unusual to hear a staff member or camper express approval of another camper's behavior by stating that they are doing the right thing in "The Lokanda Way".
